He’s dead Adrian Malecki, one of the largest, but also wasted, talents Polish basketball. The former had a tragic accident. He was only 40 years.

“With great sadness to announce that Adrian died Malecki” – written on the side of his former club MKS Pruszków.

As reported service sport.pl Malecki died hospital after an accident he suffered on the street. The man fell and hit his head on the curb. Unfortunately could not save him.

His first steps in a major basketball Malecki put Lech Poznań, whose colors he played in 1993-1997. From the beginning it was evident that he has extraordinary talent. Against Polonia Przemysl he gained as much as 46 points. In the 1996/1997 season, his average per game exceeded 23 points.

After leaving Lech played in the Union Tarnów, Hoop Pruszkow, Hungarian club Veszpremi Egyetem and Astoria Bydgoszcz. In the 1998 All-Star Game PLK he scored 16 points, won the contest dunks and shots for 3 points, becoming the only basketball player in history who has this art.



He escaped from staff

Despite the great potential Malecki has not been an important player in the Polish national team. This was done through the difficult nature of the player, as well as problems with drugs (in his body found traces of marijuana).

In summer 1999, at the request of the then team coach Peter LANGOSZ, he was disqualified for six months for unauthorized leave grouping Polish national team. His last game in the PLK played in 2001. Later in 2005, yet returned to Astoria, but the club terminated the contract with him, after a week does not put himself in training.

The last years were spent in a family Janowiec Wielkopolski.
