World Cup Jumping: Polish sixth after the first round in Oslo – Polish Radio

In Saturday’s team competition in Oslo Polish ski jumpers will compete for the second consecutive place on the podium of the World Cup.

At the start list are Kamil Stoch, Andrew groaned, Dawid Kubacki and the winner of Friday’s qualifications Stefan Hula.

There are many indications that it may be repeated scenario Friday kwalfikacji, where weather conditions were not pamper jumpers. Morning in Oslo was extremely foggy:

In the previous contest on Jan. 23 in Zakopane from the red and white were just better Norwegians and Austrians. Then Poland was represented Stoch, groaned, Hula and Maciej Kot.

The big unknown is the form of the first. A year ago in the Norwegian capital Stoch finished fifth and third places in individual competitions, but since then had never stood on the podium of the winter World Cup.

On Friday, two-time gold medalist at the Olympic Games in Sochi ate fear. Shortly after the end of qualification on the website of the International Ski Federation (FIS) there is information that he had been disqualified for an illegal length of skis. Later, however, the judges backed the decision and eventually Pole was classified in 20th position (113.5 m).

Hula was in the best competitions (126.5 m); away from it jumped only Japanese Noriaki Kasai (127.5 m) – one of the players from the top ten overall standings of the World Cup. Kubacki was fifth (124.0 m), and groaned ranked at the 17th position (118.0).

Beginning of the team competition at the 16th day later at 14.15 will begin individual competition with participation of six Poles .
