World Cup Jumping: successful qualification in Trondheim sparked hopes of the Poles – Polish Radio


                             Kamil Stoch was second, and Dawid Kubacki – third place in qualifying for Wednesday’s World Cup competition in ski jumping. For the competition promoted all six Polish representatives.
                         

Stoch jumped 134 m and Kubacki – 132. The furthest qualifying jumped Japanese Daiki Ito – 135.5 m.

Stefan Hula came in 16 position (127.5 m), Andrzej Stekala was 22. (124.5), Bartlomiej Kłusek – 29. (122) and Maciej Kot – 39 (117.5).

Of players from the top ten of the World Cup overall standings, with pre-qualified, few gave excellent jumping: Slovenian Peter Prevc reached – 142 m, Norwegian Johann Andre Forfang – 140, Japan’s Noriaki Kasai – 137.5, a Norwegian Daniel Andre Tande and Germany Richard Freitag – after 135 m.
