Memorial Wagner’s great return of Poles in the match with France gave victory in the tournament – Polish Radio

                             Young Polish volleyball Argentina won the gold medal in the world championships cadets. In the final match they defeated the home team a 3: 2 (22:25, 25:23, 28:30, 25:18, 15: 7). This is the biggest success in the history of representation in this age category.
                         

It was the eighth match winning white and red. In the finals rivals have kept pace until the end of the third party. The fourth and fifth set was a display of Polish team. Sebastian Pawlik charges trainers and Maciej Zendel won this year’s European Championship, and Tbilisi were the best in the Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF). In none of those tournaments did not suffer defeat.

In Argentina in the group stage defeat: Bulgaria and Iran at 3: 1, Chile and Taiwan after 3: 0, while the 1/8 finals – Japan 3: 1 in 1/4 finals – China 3: 0 and the semi-finals – Iran 3: 1.

– We’re very, very happy and very proud of our players. It’s hard to even describe in words how we feel. Our patients showed their best side. They played like notes. It is the greatest achievement in the history of representation cadets. This is a huge success these players, as well as the School of Sports Championship in Spala. Never Poles not won gold or silver medal at the world championships, only two bronze – Zendel said.

The Polish team has performed in the following composition: quarterback – Kamil Droszyński, Lukasz Kozub; the attacker – Damian Domagala, James Ziobrowski; central – James Kochanowski, David Woch, Patryk Germany; receiving – Thomas Groom, Bartosz Kwolek, Jakub Szymanski, Jędrzej Gruszczyński; libero – Matthew Maslowski.

In the match for the bronze medal won by Russia, Iran 3: 1 (25:17, 26:28, 25:16, 25:23).

The final sequence: 1. Polish, 2. Argentina, 3. Iran, 4. Russia 5. Italy 6. Brazil 7. United States 8. China.

the history of the world championships cadets Poles won earlier two bronze medals – in 1999 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and in 2013 in Tijuana (Mexico).
