– We are satisfied with one point, taking into account the circumstances that were in the game. Players fought to the end. The last half hour it looked very good, ran out of time to win. It’s a shame because we were determined to win – said after the draw 2-2 with Scotland coach Adam Nawałka.
Poland after three matches has seven points and together with Ireland leads the group D. Nawałka falls in the lap of hysterical optimism, however.
– WC has only just begun. You can see the results, it was a very close group. In every game there is a real war – said the coach.
Nawałka had in mind here relentless game of Scots, especially playing a straight leg by one of the defenders of guests in Robert Lewandowski.
– I was surprised that the judge did not react, because Robert was virtually unable to play for a good hour or so – he added.
The coach praised his players play in today’s match.
– Players are playing at maximum speed. So it looked like in these two matches. You can see that there is competition for places, because I can count on all the players, which I have here – the coach said.
– Match composed for us very well. We should take the initiative, but lacked consistency in the organization of a defensive game. There was too much space between the aid and defensive. Goals lost too easily – said Nawałka, but did not want to analyze mistakes, after which the Poles lost the goal.
A more focused on praise, and in his opinion, deserved not the whole team.
– Team morale is higher than it was a few weeks ago. We are constantly working on it. To be a real band, we need a little more to win and lose. I do not want to expose individual cenzurek, because everyone deserves the praise. The battle for France takes – ended.
