Weekend in Planica traditionally finished the World Cup season. Usually, however, was that before the last competition winner Crystal Ball was already known. This time the battle lasted and promised to exciting.
Lecturer in the general classification Severin Freund was the second Peter Prevc 44-point lead. It’s a lot of theory, but in Planica was doing far better from Slovenia. In Friday’s individual competition won in style, while Freund was fourth. Had exactly the same situation repeated on Sunday, Prevc would reach the crystal globe.
In the last contest in the list home stood 31 players, including two Poles: Piotr Zyla and Kamil Stoch. This second Saturday broke the record for Polish, yielding 238 meters. On Sunday promised to fight for even greater distance.
Hope for the top places White and Red gave played just before Trial competition series. Stoch earned in the third, and eighth Vein result. The best was Stefan Kraft, before Peter Prevc. Severin Freund was the sixth result.
In the trial Kamil Stoch earned 230.5 meters, which has already been great result. In the first series the competition was, however, still better. Stoch soared 235 meters distance. As it turned out, gave it to him in the second round.
Very good jump also gave Piotr Zyla . Wiślanin had some problems at the landing – staggered, which influenced the marks for style. Distance 222.5 underground, however, was impressive. After the first round, it allowed Żyła occupy 11th place.
Kamil Stoch ran a very long time. Ahead of him until Peter Prevc – received 236.5 meters and he won the first round, taking over our jumper 3.9 point advantage. The third place is Rune Velta. The difficult situation is, however, Severin Freund – Germany jumped “only” 222.5 meters and is the seventh. If it runs out of competition, Freund lose to Prevc crystal globe.
