Polish tennis player for the sixth time in his career has reached at least the best “eight” Slam event in Melbourne. Radwanska continues winning streak, which began this autumn (won the tournaments in Tokyo, Tianjin and WTA Finals, and earlier this year in Shenzhen) and this season is so far unbeaten.

As another this series Poles tried to finish 82nd in the rankings Anna-Lena Friedsam. It seemed that almost 22-year-old German woman does not have too many arguments on their side. Not only is much lower listed and not won a single WTA (Pole won the 18), but also has krakowiance in their only match so far – two weeks ago in the quarterfinals in Shenzen 2: 6, 4: 6.

But there were only appearances, and Friedsam properly scared Angieszkę Radwanska. First, she won the first set after an incredible fight, playing a lot more mature than her age would indicate. In the second set has not met a Pole, but in the last quarter of clashes in a big way back into the game.

It was close to a favorable outcome, but on her way stood trauma, which had to contend. The bandage on the leg, visible grimace of pain, and technical breaks, which would lead it to full fitness – Friedsam not skreczowała and has not abandoned the dream of winning, which certainly impressed the audience.

After 2 hours and 30 minutes Polka prevailed turn the tide in your favor, providing promotion to the 1/4 finals of the Australian Open.

In the previous edition of the Australian competition Radwanska dropped out just in the 1/8 finals. Now he improved this result, but certainly dreams of only one thing – a final triumph and historical winning the Grand Slam tournament.

Agnieszka Radwanska – Anna-Lena Friedsam 2: 1 (6: 7, 6: 1, 7: 5)

Third set: The beginning of the decisive set was very promising, but Friedsam very quickly showed that it was in this phase of the tournament by accident. After the first two wins Gemach German woman won five straight and moved closer to victory with a Pole.

Something jammed in play Agnieszka Radwanska, krakowianka made a lot of mistakes, but applause are primarily rival. Despite his young age, she played exceptionally ripe, several times getting a tennis ball that seemed impossible to finish. German woman had to contend with leg injury that clearly bothered her, and the more experienced Pole tried to use it.

Radwanska could shake his head in disbelief, but in the state 2: 5 won even one spurt. Polk won four gems in a row and came back to fight. Friedsam fought to the end, but did not give the council more experienced Polish woman, though certainly deserved this game at a very high esteem.

Second set: The second edition of the clash was a real concert of a Polish woman who first gem showed clearly that it does not intend to give up the win in this match. Lost the first set only irritated Radwańska, which from the first ball boldly attacked rival, forcing her to errors and retaining key moments in cold blood.

Friedsam was not able to resist the krakowiance which, after a weaker game showed their best side, allowing his rival to win just one game she was serving.

I set: Fans Agnieszka Radańskiej at the beginning of the meeting could rub their eyes in amazement. The initiative belonged to the German, who definitely came into the match, putting on the element of surprise. Its strategy very quickly brought results, and Polish rider had no idea on how to repay przeciwniczce.

The fourth tournament racket woke up at state 1: 4, but when I started to play, the roles completely reversed. Friedsam began to make mistakes, and Polka again and again showed the class that in recent months is clearly visible in her game.

When it seemed that Agnieszka Radwanska will record a great return contestant from Krakow missed the ball sets, and used a German woman stumble and led to the state 5: 5. Pole could look to break, but once again missed the great chance to break. Friedsam took the lead 6: 5.

To resolve the first set it was necessary, but the tie-break. Here, the battle also was extremely fierce, but ultimately this German woman won the first installment of clashes.
