Among the favorites for the top positions in Saturday’s World Cup competition in Sapporo tipped are primarily Slovenians – leader Peter Prevc cycle and the new official record object – Domain Prevc, returning to competition in Germany Severin Freund and the Norwegian Kenneth Gangnes.

We are counting on as the highest representatives of the Polish position. Among the 50 players from thirteen countries will take part in the first competition series, there is a six-White-Red. Be the first to showcase Andrzej Stekala (No. 19), and then Clement Muranka (No. 20), Dawid Kubacki (24), Maciej Kot (No. 28), Stefan Hula (No. 30) and Kamil Stoch (No. 35).

Sapporo is almost inseparable stop every World Cup season in ski jumping. Knockout carousel has arrived at Okurayama not only in the seasons 1982/1983 and 2006/2007 (which Sapporo hosted the Nordic World Championships). Most cup wins in Sapporo – 6 – suffered Matti Nykaenen, but the Finn won four times on Miyanomori. Okurayama won five times while Norway’s Roar Ljoekelsoey (2003, 2×2004, 2005, 2006).

Three times in Sapporo Adam Malysz won. “The Eagle of the Vistula” was the best in 1997 Miyanomori and twice in 2001 Okurayama. In addition, four-time winner of the Crystal Ball took third place at the competition in 2011, in which even led after the first round. He finished on the podium three times Cup competition in Sapporo Kamil Stoch. Two-time Olympic champion Sochi was second twice (2012, 2015) and for the third time (2012).

Weather forecasts for Saturday rivalries are surprisingly good for Sapporo. Meteorologists predict the north-eastern wind of moderate strength of 0-1 m / s. The air temperature is to be -6 ° C. The only problem can be predicted snowfall.

The official record Okurayama-hill (HS134) is a Domain Prevc. 16-year-old representative of Slovenia during Friday’s qualifications flew a distance of 141 meters.
