Legia Warsaw beat Celtic 4-1, was also better in the second leg in Edinburgh ( 2-0). However, at the end of the second meeting on the pitch appeared Bartosz Bereszyński who have not previously completed the penalty of suspension for a red card. UEFA has awarded a walkover Celtic 3-0, changing the state of the competition 4-4. Master of Scotland promoted by one goal gained away.

When UEFA has opened proceedings in this case, Mioduski attempted contact with the Celtic, which remained unanswered.

– Our open letter to Celtic has been misunderstood. We primarily meant to draw attention to the lack of contact, is to start a dialogue. I am aware that Celtic could not agree to the request of the Legion. But he could answer, that what actually happened is not fair, but such are the rules and that’s it. I would be unhappy, but would receive an answer and know where we stand. And there was absolutely nothing. It was the most disappointing – Mioduski said in an interview with the BBC, quoted on legia.net.

– When an appeal against the verdict of the UEFA demonstrated that the provision of the Rules is not so clear, how holds UEFA. I do not feel that we broke the rules, but only differently interpreted the rules – says Mioduski.

– In addition, the transfer provision has been completed, because Bereszyński not by accident sidelined in the first three matches, and therefore we do not believe that this was a case requiring such a harsh punishment … – explained co-owner of the Legion.

– An independent tribunal will take into account our arguments. We know that the chances are not very big, but as long as these opportunities will be, we will fight – he said.
