On Saturday at 15:15 in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany Tauron’s handball players Vive Kielce in the semi-finals of the Champions League Final Four will play with the legendary Barcelona. With the goal of Kielce team – Slawomir Szmal and team coach – Talant Dujszebajewem talked Marek Cender.
Marek Cender: Why does everyone say that Barcelona is the favorite Final Four?
Slawomir Szmal: There are four teams that have won your share in this tournament. This road was very difficult for each team. I think about the game in the final and this is probably the goal of all four teams which take part in it.
MC: In comparison with what team you were two years ago. You are as good, and perhaps stronger?
SSZ: It’s hard to say. Personally much has changed.
MC: There is no such Rastko Stojkovic, who scored 8 goals in the match from Kiel …
SSZ: This was a match for third place, and we are talking about to play as high as possible. We also have a great year – Julen Aguinagalde. It’s the best pie in the world. We could replace every player and compare the players from the opposing team. However, it seems to me that an important aspect will be the head.

MC: What determines victory for the party – form, disposition of the day, little happiness?
TD A little bit of everything. A little luck, a little disposal of the day, some settings in your head – we believe in ourselves, to believe a team that is not inferior to Barcelona. Then I know that it is possible to win and then see what happens as we qualify to the final.
MC: Do all the players that you have available will have Saturday and Sunday one hundred percent form?
TD: In these games the players realize that this is lucky enough to play in the Final Four and then everyone is motivated more than 100%.
