During the last elections in May this year Ali bin al-Hussein was the only man who threatened to Seppowi Blatter. He lost to the Swiss by a vote of 73 to 130. Shortly after the corruption scandal broke and Blatter announced his retirement after 17 years in office.

– I was the only person who was able to resist Blatter and who questioned his actions. I took part in the election because I believe that FIFA needs to change. I was not afraid to fight, while others have concerns – says al-Hussein.

– From the previous election long and intensely I am thinking about how to reform the federation. It will be a difficult task. The need to overcome the corruption and influence policy. Now I believe even more in the desirability of my actions and that I am able to win. I hope that everyone can be proud of FIFA and its operation – adds a Jordanian.

At the same time Prince announced that it will lay more emphasis on women’s football and will be more support judges. Additionally, wants to introduce new technologies and effectively combat match-fixing.
