seeded number one American Serena Williams lost to Russian woman Svetlana Kuznetsova (No. 15), 7: 6 (7-3), 1: 6, 2: 6 in the 1/8 finals of the tennis tournament WTA ranking Premier on hard courts in Miami (6.13 million prize pool dollars).
